Unlock the extra practice levels.
As well as the practice areas on lake Paradise you can open up the 3 stages on lake Crystaldew by completing the arcade mode once. There are also 2 secret areas to get The Palace on Lake Paradise and the Falls on Lake Crystaldew to open these up you have to play through the Consumer Mode and win any of the tournaments.
Alter the boat and clothes colours.
Reach the final tournament (NORMAL).
It is also possible to alter the colour of your lure by pressing UP or DOWN on the lures selection screen. By using different coloured lures you can give your self an edge as certain colours can catch you more fish.
Bonus Trophies.
Ranker Killer - Notch up a huge fish (4000g to 10000g) then you you will get the Ranker Killer Trophy.
Perfect Tournamenter - Just come first in every round of any tournament series to win this trophy.
Top Water King - Catching above a certain combined weight will get you this trophy and its is hard to achieve too.

Fish Weights.
Awww...Small One.
These average less than 800g and they are all over the place and you will catch them no matter how ward you try not to. Just reel these straight in as line tension is not even an issue with these tiny Bass.
Medium Good Job.
800g to 2000g better quality fish but not really what you should be trying to catch. Line tension isn't really a problem un less they are close to 2000g so just reel em in.
Woah It's A Big One.
2000g to 4000g these are the ones you should be trying to catch to get your weight up for a good place on the board. Watch the line tension with these as they can snap your line try to bring them in quickly so that you can re-cast and try to catch another one.
That Ones Huge.
4000g to 10000g With these whoppers you have to watch your line tension all the time. These monsters are usually found in the deepest darkest regions of the lake, although they do crop up in other areas as well. Be patient and you will land them.
